What's great about owning over 400 books is that Is that I have a little of everything. What you have there is a 1952-53 Murray dip sided Fire chief original.$700-$950 in good condition

Using more than all the road!

My first car was a ’64 Impala SS that I got from my grandfather when his eyesight prevented him from driving any longer. I was just out of high school and within an hour of being handed the keys I had my first, of many, tickets (speeding).

Since I am a car guy it did not remain stock for long. I became a regular on Van Nuys Blvd cruise nights and had built the car to beat Camaros . It was also great for “watching submarine races” up on Mulholland Dr. It’s end came while it was parked out front of a speed shop. A woman came around a curve and caved in the driver’s rear/side.

Yes I totally wish I had it. The value of it alone would have skyrocketed since then. But the memories are great too.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It's amazing where the car market is nowadays.Bugatti 35's,NART spiders,
55 gullwings are fast becoming even bigger relics.V W micro busses $100,000
plus ?A lot of muscle cars are bringing dollars that are making all of us wish we still had our first cars!

My first car that moved under its own power was a 1964 Impala SS with a 409 4sp. I didn't have it long. I was "T" boned ... and totaled ... by this huge Pontiac Bonneville. Oddly enough my second car was a1965 GTO. My current hot rod is a 1962 Bonneville.

Go figure ...
