Cool post KMD, you and I are quite similar in what you wrote about cars and tools. Tools are an investment and have saved me a lot of time and money. And I have fun and learn things by using my tools. I have a Craftsman box/roller which stays in the garage and another which has my assorted stuff and the top box is my traveling box (to races when I race).

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I'd love to check out your tool box and see what I'm missing.
What? I'm always interested in what I might be missing.
As a woman, I know I probably am missing the major ones.
I have the basic stuff, but I want to know more about which ones can be used for what needs fixing.
Well, I'm sure you know what I mean, and I really didn't mean to make it sound dirty.
I really didn't. If you are still near me, maybe we could finally meet just before you move away. Wouldn't that just be like fate if we ended up becoming friends?

I'm especially fond of my old woodworking tools. Wooden planes and T handled augers, Japanese hand saws. They're quiet, efficient and relaxing to use.

I think you should definitely take KItkat up on that meeting.

You're talking about like hammering, driving and screwing right?
