I think it's self-judgment that creates those secrets. Because we feel that others will judge. It starts with our own feelings and acceptance. Bottle is green and there's no one in the rest room ...

Once I've worked through those "secrets" I no longer fear the judgement, and am able to move them from being "secrets" to being just another part of me, a piece that I am comfortable with sharing..... That line really resonates for me - that's how it works for me. If I accept that part of me, it takes away all the power from other people's judgments. And that makes for a far happier life! thanks for sharing! As a few here have said, sometimes it's best to keep the secrets to yourself if revealing them would only result in pain for others. We must all come to terms with our past, accept it for what it is, know we cannot change it and try to move on. We are, after all, all human...we make mistakes. We fall prey to our feelings and searching out ways to alleviate pain and loneliness. It's my feeling that because I am truly sorry for some of the things I have done, eventually if I can forgive myself, all is ok. The only person who was truly hurt was myself. Take care. You are a good person. I can tell by your thoughts presented here in your blogs. Don't be too hard on yourself.
